Job Title: Software Engineer (Human Data Platforms) Job Type: Full-time Location: Remote (Must overlap PST timezone at least 6-8 hours) The Role Build and ship systems across the stack — APIs, UI, and data pipelines. You’ll work on data and document infrastructure that powers model evaluation, secure data handling, and complex document workflows. Expect to move fast, own problems end-to-end, and operate with high autonomy in a small, senior team. What You’ll Do - Ship features across backend (Python/FastAPI) and frontend (React/Next.js/TypeScript). - Build data pipelines for evaluation and model control layers. - Own secure document pipelines (S3/GCS/Azure, permissions, no data leakage). - Develop OCR + search systems for PDFs, images, and scanned docs. - Parse and enforce complex nested JSON structures. - Build document tooling (generate, edit, annotate PDFs/images). - Debug and scale pipelines and storage systems. - Improve performance, reliability, and system design across the stack. What We’re Looking For - Strong builder with Python (FastAPI) + React experience. - Comfortable working across the stack. - Solid fundamentals: APIs, SQL, async systems, data modeling. - Experience with cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure). - Ability to work with complex data systems or pipelines. - High ownership, low ego, fast execution. Preferred - LLM / AI system experience. - OCR, document processing, or search systems. - Experience with secure data handling / permissions. - Built and shipped real systems (not just tutorials).
