Ethos AI Jobs — How It Works, Pay and Eligibility

Remote, expert-led AI training and evaluation work, sourced from Ethos's public opportunities board.

What is Ethos AI?

Ethos describes itself as an expert network — operated by Ethos Artificial Intelligence Limited — that connects professionals with Clients for paid Projects supporting AI development. Based on the listings AI Gig Scout collects, most opportunities ask an experienced practitioner to create, evaluate and refine the AI-generated documents, spreadsheets and slide decks produced in their own field: technical design documents and architecture decision records for a software engineer, market-access and HEOR write-ups for a pharmaceutical specialist, investment-banking materials for an analyst, or research documents for an academic. Ethos also runs paid expert calls and panels, where specialists are paid for a confidential discussion rather than a deliverable.

Every collected opportunity is remote and self-directed, and each listing sets its own domain requirements and published rate. According to Ethos's Expert Terms, Experts are identified, screened and matched to Projects through a combination of AI tools and human review, so an approved profile is eligibility to be considered rather than an offer of work.

AI Gig Scout’s note: AI Gig Scout does not employ, screen, pay or review work performed on Ethos, and this page is not an endorsement. We collect Ethos listings from its public opportunities board and show only those marked open at their last check — the opportunities listed here are a sample of what Ethos has published, not its full board, and some roles are only shown to signed-in Experts. Availability changes as Projects open and close, so always confirm eligibility, scope and pay on the live listing before applying.

How the Ethos application works

  1. 1Apply on the opportunity's pageEach public Ethos opportunity has its own application form — typically first name, last name, email and LinkedIn profile, with a CV/résumé upload where the role requires one.
  2. 2Get reviewed and approvedEthos reviews applications before work is offered. Its Expert Terms state that selection involves a combination of AI tools ('Platform Agents') and human review by Ethos personnel or Clients, and that you are notified if a Platform Agent is used; some opportunities list a short AI voice screen as a possible next step.
  3. 3Verify identity and complete the tutorialEthos says verification runs through a designated third-party provider before work starts or payment is issued, which may require government-issued photo ID, a live selfie and a biometric facial check, alongside sanctions and watchlist screening. The Expert Terms also require completing the applicable Ethos tutorial for Experts before taking part in Projects.
  4. 4Accept Projects and get paidEthos states you may accept or decline any Project at your discretion. Work is performed as an independent contractor and paid by Ethos on an agreed cycle (for example weekly or monthly) or at Project completion, subject to the required documentation.

Eligibility and location restrictions

  • Opportunities are specialist-first. Each listing states its own requirements — the collected roles typically ask for several years' hands-on experience in the named field, plus demonstrated work with the specific document types the Project covers.
  • The open Ethos listings AI Gig Scout collects are labelled fully remote and publish no country restriction. A 'remote' label is not evidence that every country is eligible: Ethos's Expert Terms place eligibility on the Expert, who must be at least 18 and legally entitled to work as an independent contractor in the jurisdiction where they are located, and who is responsible for their own registrations, permissions and local law.
  • Participation is also conditional on clearing Ethos's own checks — third-party identity verification and sanctions/watchlist screening — and its Expert Terms allow suspension or termination of access in defined circumstances, so eligibility is more than matching a role.

Compensation and payment

  • Ethos publishes pay per opportunity where it chooses to. The open listings AI Gig Scout currently collects state hourly rates in USD — $70 to $350 an hour — and several also advertise a weekly cap (for example 'up to $2,000/week') and a flexible weekly-hours range in the headline. AI Gig Scout keeps those extra figures as published text rather than merging them into the hourly rate.
  • Expert calls are priced differently from deliverable work; the collected call listings advertise an hourly rate for a confidential discussion rather than for documents.
  • Ethos states that preparation, research and other ancillary time is not compensated unless approved in writing in advance, and that invoices and reports must be submitted before the end of each payment cycle and within three days of Project completion, or payment may be delayed or lost.

AI Gig Scout shows pay only where an Ethos listing discloses it and does not verify, estimate or guarantee earnings or payment reliability. Ethos's Expert Terms require Experts to keep their billing rate and compensation information confidential from Clients, so treat the live listing as authoritative and do not assume rates are comparable across roles.

Before you apply to Ethos

  • An application is not a job. Ethos describes matching as AI-assisted and human-reviewed, and its terms promise no minimum volume of Projects; it says patterns of availability and responsiveness are considered when matching Experts to future work.
  • Read the deliverable spec first. Most collected opportunities are document work — design documents, evaluation reports, decks, spreadsheets — in a specific professional field, so the bar is demonstrated domain expertise rather than AI experience.
  • Expect verification between approval and payment. Third-party identity checks with a biometric facial check, sanctions screening and a mandatory expert tutorial sit between an accepted application and paid work.
  • Weekly caps and hours are advertised, not guaranteed. 'Up to $X/week' and '5-20 hours per week' in an Ethos headline describe what a role typically offers; actual hours depend on Project availability.
  • Keep your rate private. Ethos's Expert Terms prohibit disclosing your billing rate or compensation information to a Client.
  • Re-check the listing before applying. AI Gig Scout mirrors opportunities marked open at their last verification, and Ethos closes or hides roles as Projects fill.

Frequently asked questions

Is Ethos legit?

Ethos is operated by Ethos Artificial Intelligence Limited, a company incorporated in England and Wales, which publishes a public opportunities board, Expert Terms and a privacy policy. AI Gig Scout does not independently verify any individual's experience with it. Judge it from Ethos's own published terms and each listing's requirements, and treat unsolicited messages claiming to be from Ethos with caution.

How much does Ethos pay?

Pay is set per opportunity. The open Ethos listings AI Gig Scout currently collects show hourly rates in USD between $70 and $350, some with a weekly cap and a flexible weekly-hours range stated in the headline. Those are the platform's own published figures, not a guaranteed income, and AI Gig Scout displays a number only where the source listing discloses it.

What kind of work does Ethos offer?

Based on the listings AI Gig Scout collects, mostly domain-expert work that trains or evaluates AI models — creating, reviewing and refining AI-generated documents, spreadsheets and slide decks in fields such as software and data, investment banking, market access and HEOR, accounting, academic research and consulting — alongside paid expert calls and panels.

Do I need AI experience for Ethos?

The collected opportunities ask for professional experience in the named domain and strong written craftsmanship; none of them state prior AI experience as a requirement. Ethos's own terms do describe AI tools and Platform Agents as part of how Experts are screened and matched, and that some Project screening may be conducted through them.

Does AI Gig Scout list every Ethos job?

No. We collect Ethos opportunities published on its public board that remain marked open at their last check, and this page shows only the ones currently in our dataset. The board changes as Projects open and close, and some opportunities are only shown to signed-in Experts, so use the link on this page to see Ethos's current listings in full.

Platform details above are drawn from Ethos AI’s own pages reviewed on 2026-10-16: Ethos — opportunities board (opens in a new tab), Ethos — Expert Terms (opens in a new tab), Ethos — Terms of Service (opens in a new tab).
